CM Browser is one of my favorite browser having basic features with simplicity. :)
This browser has enough options to fulfill your requirements. One should try this browser once. I personally tested this browser and found it useful and somehow better than many of the available android browsers.

*Simple: The user interface is too simple to use. All the options can be accessed easily. It's customized properly so the newbie can also use this browser without any problem.
*Smooth: In my testing, I couldn't find any kind of lag in this browser. It was totally smooth and somehow faster than other browsers. I could easily read heavy web pages of different modes in it easily.
*Quick Access: On home page, you get some regular shortcuts of web pages for quick access. You can also add your own important sites there. You also get some trending topics and new feeds on home page. It's your choice to keep the news feeds on or off.
*Night Mode: There is an option to use night mode.
It's helpful for eyes in dark room or low light places. And you can easily read whatever you want without any irritation.
*Notification Search: There is an option to enable quick search from the notification panel from any screen. For using this option, you must be provide this app protection so it can run in the background without any interruption. Then only it can give you access for quick searching via notification panel.
*Fast: It's too quick to load pages. I tried it and felt that it's faster than so many available browsers. And it also provides preload option for web pages for faster surfing if you need.
I recommend you try it once and compare the overall performance of it yourself with the other available browsers...
